Glamping Surf Camp in

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, stays, and services provided by WaveNest Surf Camp, operated by Duarte & Fariñas, Lda. (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking or staying with us, you agree to the following terms.

1. General Information

1.1 Check-in & Check-out

• Check-in: Before 00:00 (midnight)

• Check-out: Before 12:00 (midday)

Late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

1.2 Guest Identification

All guests must present a valid ID or passport upon arrival.

2. Payments & Deposits

2.1 Deposit

A 50% deposit is required to secure any booking.

• The deposit is refundable only within the free cancellation period.

• The remaining balance must be paid before arrival to the camp.

2.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• Stripe

• Bank transfer

All prices shown on our website include applicable taxes.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Standard Guest Cancellation

• Free cancellation for up to 30 days after the booking date.

• If cancelled 60 days before the arrival date, we refund 50% of the deposit.

• If cancelled 30 days prior to arrival or less, no refund is available.

3.2 No-Show Policy

If a guest does not arrive without notice, the booking is considered a no-show, and the full amount is non-refundable.

4. Accommodation & Services

4.1 Accommodation Types

We offer:

• Shared glamping tents

• Private glamping tents

4.2 Included Services

• All meals

• Linens and towels

• Use of shared areas and on-site facilities

4.3 Optional Add-Ons

Surf lessons and other activities may be booked as optional add-ons.

5. Surf Lessons & Activities

5.1 Surf Lessons

Surf lessons:

• Are optional and priced separately

• Are conducted by qualified surf instructors

• May be rescheduled or cancelled only in cases of extreme weather conditions that compromise safety

5.2 Participation at Own Risk

Guests participate in all activities at their own risk, including:

• Surf lessons

• Movement to and from lesson locations

• Free surf, beach activities, or other recreational activities outside instruction time

We are not responsible for:

• Lost or stolen items

• Damages or injuries occurring during free time, outside activities, or in transit to/from lessons

5.3 Activity Waiver

All guests must sign a liability and media waiver upon check-in.

6. Camp Rules & Code of Conduct

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, the following rules apply:

6.1 Quiet Hours

• Weekdays: 23:00 to 08:00

• Weekends: 00:00 to 08:00

6.2 Smoking Policy

• No smoking inside tents or in the dining area.
  Dedicated smoking areas are provided.

6.3 Alcohol Policy

• Only alcohol purchased from our on-site bar is permitted.

• Outside alcohol is not allowed.

6.4 Drugs Policy

The use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Violation may result in immediate removal without refund.

7. Damage Policy (Hotel-Grade Standard)

7.1 Responsibility for Damages

Guests are financially responsible for:

• Damages to accommodation interiors, furniture, décor, or equipment

• Loss or damage to linens, bedding, or camp property

• Misuse or negligent handling of camp equipment

7.2 Assessment of Damages

In case of damage:

• A report will be prepared by management

• The cost of repair or replacement will be assessed

• Charges will be invoiced to the guest and must be settled promptly

7.3 Insurance

We maintain insurance coverage for guest-caused damages; however, this does not absolve guests of responsibility for negligent or intentional damage.

8. Safety Requirements

For safety and comfort:

8.1 Camp Facilities

• Guests must follow staff instructions regarding equipment, tents, and communal areas

• Only designated staff may operate camp machinery or restricted areas

8.2 Personal Safety

Guests are responsible for:

• Using pathways and facilities responsibly

• Exercising caution during night hours

• Securing their belongings

• Respecting weather warnings and staff guidance

Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from activities or the premises without refund.

9. Personal Belongings

We are not responsible for:

• Theft

• Loss

• Damage to personal items

We recommend not leaving valuables unattended and using secure storage options when available.

10. Minors

Guests under 18 are allowed only when:

• Accompanied by a legal parent or guardian OR

• A parental waiver is signed prior to arrival

We reserve the right to request proof of age and authorization.

11. Complaint Resolution

We aim to resolve all concerns professionally and promptly.

Guests may file complaints:

• At reception during their stay

• By email at info@wavenestsurfcamp.com

If a resolution cannot be reached internally, guests may seek mediation through the appropriate Portuguese authorities.

12. Termination of Stay

We reserve the right to remove guests from the camp without refund if they:

• Breach these Terms & Conditions

• Endanger themselves or others

• Cause significant disturbance or property damage

• Engage in illegal activity

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal.
Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of Portuguese courts.
